I thought of writing updates on my city and country but they are mostly so dull and saddening and hardly anything that can make us proud.

Anyhow, recently civil society organizations wanted to a memorial reference for Salmaan Taseer at the Arts Council in Karachi but they were suddenly told that the permission was withheld. People say it is because of the pressure from the right wing forces.

And on another front, the anti-terrorism court also announced that no arrest warrants will be issued against the two clerics whose fiery speeches provoked the elite force body guard to assassinate the former Punjab Governor Salmaan Taseer.

By the way, the new governor is absolutely terrible with no class at all. People are  only questioning didn't Zardari have a better choice. Of course, one can't have another Salmaan Taseer but still this man is not even worth talking about. Thus, there is hardly any light here.
